Dubai is definitely an amazing destination to visit. There’s a lot to see and it’s really impressive to be part of this city. As there are many things to do, I created this Dubai Diary which shows you a few aspects of my visit. I went to Dubai on a little getaway trip with my mom for about 5 days and we really thought that was too short. Today I highlight for you our Desert safari with Oceanairtravels.
This was such a fun travel experience! Dune bashing in Dubai's desert and ending with an open-air barbecue… Definitely something to put on your to do list @oceanairtravels. 💙 ||#afashiontaste #travelgram 📸 @matti5376 – – – – #dubai #travelling #femmetravel #dubaitravels #visitdubai #safari #desert #oceanairtravels
You can’t go to a place like Dubai without visiting the desert. The views are breathtaking and it’s besides that a very fun trip. The driver of our Oceanair safari picked us up at our hotel and drove us to a gathering point before heading into the desert. On the way driver Matti told us a lot about the country and sightseeing.
Once you’re in the desert, the actual fun begins. The jeep get’s into the fine sand and starts dune bashing – that’s basically a wild but very fun ride on the dune cliffs. Make sure not to eat to much in advance because a lot of people get car sick.
In between you make a few stops. You can enjoy sandboarding: sitting on a big (snow)board and board down the sand hills. Which is really fun and enjoyable. Besides that there are of course the amazing views to see and the sunset.
After that the driver gets you to ‘the camp’. It is a big gathering place for all the jeeps where there are multiple activities. You can enjoy a short camel tour, which is also very funny! In the camp there’s this little place to get henna, get dressed in traditional Arabian clothing and a corner for those that want to do shisha; the traditional smoking.
The evening starts off with a little show followed by a barbecue. The food was very good and there were a lot of vegetables, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The menu ended with a tradition dessert buffet and a belly dancer showing the best of herself. A very enjoyable evening!
